Dave Wood brings 31 years of service experience with Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services to the development and management of Fire Pro Investigations. He is a member of the IAAI, NAFI, and has been qualified as an expert in the field of Fire Investigation by the BC Supreme Court. Dave is involved in training, including test burns on an ongoing basis.

Steve Baker’s experience covers a wide cross section of the fire investigation industry including building electrical systems, appliances, machinery, heavy equipment and vehicles. Steve is a member of the IAAI and NAFI and has been involved in test burns, live fire lab analysis and conducts investigator training on an ongoing basis. He has his FSR BC Electrical Safety Branch certification and has been qualified as an expert in the field of Fire Investigation by the BC Supreme Court.

Tim Lee brings 12 years of service experience as a firefighter, training officer, program coordinator and fire investigator to Fire Pro Investigations. He has been involved in test burns, training and is a member of NAFI, CAFI, IAAI, NFPA, CFPS and WETTBC.

Jaimes Baker brings 10 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician to Fire Pro Investigations. He is a member of the IAAI, NAFI, has been involved in fire investigations since 2013 and is experienced with test burns and live fire lab analysis. Jaimes also has training in forensic interviewing.
Fritz
“Fritz” is a Schnauzer trained to identify 12 accelerants such as diesel fuel, gasoline, lamp oil, paint thinner and kerosene. He can detect extremely low volumes of fire accelerants more efficiently and accurately than humans, at levels that are at and sometimes beyond the sensitivity of lab testing techniques and equipment. Jaimes Baker is certified as an Accelerant Canine handler though the Canine Accelerant Detection Association (CADA) and travels with Fritz throughout British Columbia assisting Insurance Companies, Police Agencies, Fire Departments, Legal Counsels, uninsured companies and individuals.

Tyler Wood is a member of the IAAI, NAFI, has been involved in fire investigations since 2014 and has his Safety Officer Certification. He is also involved in report editing, invoicing, evidence storage, research, facilitates evidence testing and analysis, including digital radiographic imaging, metallurgy, and conducts fire scene special projects.

Norm Parks brings 43 years of Professional Electrical Engineering experience and knowledge of the National Building Code, National Fire Safety Code, Canadian Electrical Code 1 & 2 and over 25 years’ experience performing investigations using ANSI and CSA Standards to Fire Pro Investigations. He was a member of CSA (Canadian Standards Association) Audits and Investigation Group researching the cause and origin of fires where electrical components, and equipment were involved. He has extensive experience as an Applied Product Liability Engineering Specialist determining product design defects and electrical forensic failure analysis.
Norm also conducts Electrical Forensic Safety Engineering Studies for accidents and personal injury claims involving voltages from 31Vrms up to 500Kvolt (utility transmission lines) and for issues with electromagnetic fields from 10Hz to 60GHz using the highest quality measuring instruments available.

Megan Lee manages administrative inquiries and oversees scheduling, file management, invoicing, contracts, payments, licenses, co-ordinates testing and continuity of evidence. She is also involved in research and provides technical assistance to investigators as required.
